Zombie Tribes - Our story and where it all began

Zombie Tribes isn’t a logo or a motto, or even a label. You can’t just say the words and suddenly understand what we are about. No, there is much, much more required of you before the way of the tribe will fill your spirit and bring forth all the wonder and contentment that flows from true understanding.
Zombie Tribe members are part of an unique worldwide group of fanatics who understand why riding must be done. Not riding of the equine variety, nor the riding of the social pariah, nor the rendition of the playground carousel rider.
Riding is what the Zombie Tribe is all about. Motorcycle riding, hypersport, tourer, cruiser, trail, endurer, hypermotard, on-road, off-road or whatever other breed of motorcycle that may exist. Members of the Zombie Tribe don’t differentiate.
Contrary to rumour and legend, the Zombie Tribe was not created. It was discovered by two wayward riders who accidentally stumbled upon it while prodding the fabric of the universe to see what was there.
Those two riders, TB and RB, possessed a shared passion for riding motorcycles. They understood that special feeling of speed and power, and realised that the members of the Zombie Tribe exhibit the style to know when and how to use them.
They were the first to realise that Zombie Tribe members can be identified by the gaping emptiness felt when the day-to-day of this rather strange universe gets in the way of an excuse to go riding.
If you have had that feeling, welcome to the Zombie Tribe. |

3 Zombie’s feature in the Zombie Tribe logo! RB, TB and RJ.
RB and TB both share a deep passion for riding (not that they do it well according to some of the TribesFolk!). Both these initial creators of The Zombie Tribes are much more at ease and happy with life when experiencing wind in their faces, the surge of horse power from 2 wheeled machines and the faint smell of fuel under their noses. RB and TB are often seen arranging various rides and outings coupled with adding questionable commentary and views to the website. Most importantly, they’re just here to have fun and enjoy the ride! Oh yes, these 2 Zombies don’t have tattoos AND they still have day jobs!
RJ is the “brains” in the outfit. Recently joining The Tribe to look after all things “IT” and ensuring that the Tribespeople enjoy an all new, best of breed website that works, All the time!!!!! RJ hasn’t swung a leg over a bike yet but be sure that RB and TB will be encouraging him strongly. When this event occurs,..we’ll make sure the footage goes onto the site for entertainment purposes! |

The following guildelines for Safe Riding have been created by Zombies for Zombies when participating in rides, but also for general use.
- Check your bike before the ride Tyres air and tread.
- Wear the right clothing protection etc.
- Ensure you stay hydrated for the ride.
- Obey the road rules.
- Stay within speed limits.
- Listen to the Safety Briefing at start of each ride.
- Keep a safe distance between each zombie and remember the obligation is on YOU following not the guy in front, but always remember someone is behind you.
- Be aware of your surroundings.
- Ride within your own limits what is comfortable.
- Dont try to keep up you will not be left behind if you feel the group is riding faster than your comfortable slow down.
- If you overtake another vehicle, don't immediately drop back to the riding pace.
- The tribe leader for the run follow his or her lead. The leader also sets the pace.
- The tribe sweeper who brings up the rear and makes sure everyone arrives safely. The sweeper ensure everyone is accounted for.
- Do not try to be Valentino Rossi it's a road ride NOT a race track.
- Lastly have Fun, be Safe and Enjoy the Zombie hospitality.
Please feel free to add your comments and we will add any really helpful suggestions to this list. |
